OUR LEADERSHIP
Pastor Eric C. Hess was called into the ministry in July 2002. Since answering that call, he has traveled many miles and devoted countless hours to preaching the Gospel as an evangelist, carrying the message of Jesus Christ wherever the Lord has opened a door.
Brother Hess has faithfully served as pastor of three different churches for a combined total of 11 years. Throughout his ministry, he has remained committed to fulfilling the command of Christ to preach the Gospel to the poor, minister to the sick and elderly in nursing homes, and reach the lost wherever they may be found.
His burden for souls has taken him beyond the walls of the church through street preaching, soup kitchen ministry, nursing home services, cottage prayer meetings, and door-to-door witnessing. He has a sincere desire to carry the Gospel to those in need and to see lives changed through the saving power of Jesus Christ.
Brother Hess is first and foremost a Bible Preacher. His desire is to deliver the Word of God just as it is written, with the anointing and unction of the Holy Ghost. He is committed to preaching truth without compromise and allowing the Word of God to speak for Itself.
Through the years, Brother Hess has written volumes of sermons and carefully compiled extensive Scripture references for the purpose of teaching practical Christian living. He has a burden to help believers not only know the Word of God, but also understand how to faithfully apply its truths and principles to everyday life.
Above all, Brother Hess seeks to build God’s Kingdom rather than his own. His heart is to see souls saved, believers strengthened, and Christ exalted through faithful preaching, holy living, humble service, and obedience to the calling God has placed upon his life.
Whether preaching from the pulpit, ministering in the jail or nursing home, witnessing from door to door, or carrying the Gospel into the streets, Brother Hess desires to remain a faithful servant of the Lord, willing to labor wherever there is an opportunity to reach souls and further the Kingdom of God.
Melissa Hess serves alongside her husband, Pastor Eric Hess, as a devoted help meet in the work of the ministry. She is a teacher, singer, pianist, and writer whose desire is to use every gift God has given her for the furtherance of His Kingdom.
At the young age of 16, Melissa felt a special call of God upon her life to the ministry. Because of that calling, she believed it was imperative that she marry a minister of the Gospel so that together they could labor for the Lord and devote their lives to His work.
Melissa trained as a special education teacher and spent 11 years teaching in Christian education. She has also authored a booklet teaching biblical principles concerning women’s hair and has devoted much time to studying and writing about subjects important to Christian women and families.
After marrying Rev. Eric C. Hess, it became increasingly apparent through prayer, fasting, and careful study of the Word of God that the Lord was leading Melissa away from the classroom and into the greater role of serving alongside her husband in ministry. She answered that call and embraced the responsibilities of being a pastor’s wife and fellow laborer in the Gospel.
Throughout their pastoral ministry, Melissa has faithfully organized and taught in children’s ministry and women’s ministry. She has a heart for encouraging women to embrace biblical womanhood, reverence their own husband, love their children, strengthen their homes, grow in holiness, and faithfully serve God in every season of life.
For the past 15 years, Melissa has written, edited, and produced Holiness Homemakers, a ladies’ magazine dedicated to encouraging Christian women in holiness, homemaking, marriage, motherhood, and faithful service to the Lord. Through its pages, she seeks to strengthen women in their walk with God and inspire them to build Christ-centered homes and lives.
Above all, Melissa desires to be a faithful help meet to her husband and a willing servant in the Kingdom of God. Whether teaching, singing, playing the piano, writing, working with children, or ministering to women, her desire is that Christ be glorified and that every talent entrusted to her be used for His purpose.
